Thankful for

Start of a brand new year and a brand new century! But before I start 2010 let me thank God for the year that was =)

2009 has been a long year for me. It started out well, slightly stagnant in the middle then got really stocked but eventually pulled over….

Some highlights of 2009

• Lots and lots of trips: Pinatubo, Bicol (two times for both), Dumaguete, around Negros Oriental, Leyte, Batangas, Tagaytay, Central Luzon, around Laguna.
• Knee boarding (CWC and Lago de Oro), swim with the whaleshark of Sorsogon, snorkeling in Apo Island, Dolphin watching in Bais (not in Ocean Park…dream come true somehow), stroll in San Juanico bridge
• Three batches of guest to tour Masili.com
• Too many to mention new friends this year but would like to mention of course Darell and Omar
• Got a share of flood from Ondoy, Pepeng and Santi (not thankful for it but it brought about certain sadness and the need to need people around to help)
• Got involved in Sagip Kapamilya relief operations with friends and meet other volunteers also.
• Due to flood, had the longest sleep over from different houses of friends (one thing I enjoyed despite the calamity)
• Strike a goal in Alaska cup (so happy I jumped for joy)
• Got my 15 years plaque from IRRI
• Got a blog follower (thanks very much)
• Three interesting, successful seminars from DLC, met Mr. Rex Ressurection through the excellence seminar. He’s an author, entrepreneur and a speaker
• Was able to be part of the DestiNation, our DMI anniversary magazine (so proud of what we’re able to produced)
• Birthday celebration with friends and the street kids of Los Baños (feeling celebrity)
• A lot of presents from generous friends: bags, coin purse, painting, framed picture, tumbler, MP3 player, wrist watch, 2010 planner , books, kikay items, key rings for my wall..so many more
• New “NINI” in the family, she’s now the star of Burac’s compound, Alex, my pretty-pretty-wow niece.
